What You’ll Do

As the Installation Project Engineer, you’ll provide first‑line leadership to a team of Johnson Controls field-based Engineers, ensuring excellence in delivery, quality, and safety. Reporting to the Head of Regional Install UK, you’ll play a key role in driving performance, supporting strategic growth, and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and supporting installation teams to deliver high‑quality fire suppression projects
  • Managing delivery, quality, and Health & Safety standards
  • Overseeing your own financial work bank and supporting cost optimisation
  • Coordinating engineers on site
  • Planning manpower and equipment to meet project timelines and budgets
  • Monitoring documentation, timesheets, and compliance
  • Conducting regular safety and quality audits
  • Identifying development needs and supporting training plans, including annual appraisals
  • Managing workload to maximise productivity and forecast accuracy
  • Monitoring budgets and preparing reports for senior management
  • Liaising with Credit Control to minimise disputes and support timely invoicing
What We’re Looking For

You’ll thrive in this role if you bring:

  • Experience working within an installation environment
  • Proven experience supervising or managing engineering teams
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to build, motivate, and develop high‑performing teams
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Experience with Mechanical Fire Suppression systems
  • Ideally 3+ years in the Fire/Sprinkler industry
  • Good PC literacy, including Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of LPCB BS12845 and/or NFPA standards (preferred)
