Job summary

The Project Engineer at Legrand will manage the full project life cycle from pre-sales through implementation and handover, coordinating with subcontractors and customers to meet scope, quality, timescales and budget.

They will travel within the UK, run on-site pre-start meetings, maintain a detailed Health & Safety plan, monitor progress and ensure all systems are installed and commissioned to the latest standards, while representing Legrand professionally.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and customer-facing experience.
• Willingness to travel across the UK with a valid driving licence.
• Flexibility to work non-standard hours when on project sites.

Responsibilities

• Engage with sub-contractors and build strong working relationships.
• Conduct on-site Pre-Start Meetings with relevant parties.
• Produce a detailed Health & Safety plan for on-site management.
• Monitor progress and flag variances against the baseline.
• Keep project information updated regularly.
• Represent Legrand professionally in meetings with customers.
• Be the main customer contact throughout the project.
• Ensure all systems are installed to the latest standard.
• Commission equipment to a high standard of workmanship.
• Plan effectively and forecast project needs.
• Undertake site inspections.
• Expand sub-contractor portfolio with qualified contractors.

Job Description

The Project Engineer will be accountable for full project life cycle from pre-sales through to implementation and project handover. They will have the capacity to multitask effectively with specific responsibility for overseeing successful project delivery and achieving customer objectives regarding scope, quality, timescales and budget.

Responsibilities

• Engage with appropriate sub-contractors and develop good working relationships


• Conduct Pre-Start Meetings onsite with all relevant parties


• To ensure that a detailed H&S plan is produced which defines all aspects of managing Health and Safety onsite


• Monitor project progress and highlight variance against project baseline.


• Ensure that all appropriate information regarding the project is updated regularly.


• To represent Legrand Care professionally during meetings or visits with internal or external customers and contacts.


• To be a key point of contact for the customer throughout the whole Project process.


• To ensure all systems are fully installed to latest standard


• To ensure that equipment is fully commissioned and installed to a high quality of workmanship


• To be able to plan effectively and forecast effectively


• To undertake site inspections


• To expand on the current sub-contractor portfolio ensuring contractors are suitably qualified and trained.

Essential Qualifications
