Job summary

A leading aerospace and automotive manufacturer based in Ilkeston is looking for a skilled Project Engineer to oversee engineering projects from conception to completion. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality products. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and strong project management skills. This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week, offering a competitive package based on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or proven experience as a Project Engineer.
• Previous experience in composite, automotive, or motorsport industries is preferred but not essential.
• Experience in CAD to a level where models can be interrogated.

Atlas Composite Technologies is an AS9100 accredited SME, specialising in the manufacture of composite components and tools for a variety of sectors, including; Aerospace, Motorsport, Automotive and more. We’re currently experiencing a significant period of growth and have recently expanded our manufacturing facilities from our main site in Ilkeston to a second site at Pride Park in Derby.

About the Role

To support our growth, we’re seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Engineer to oversee and manage engineering projects from conception to completion. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and quality assurance, to delivery of high-quality composite products. You’ll be employed on a permanent contract working 40 hours per week.

We’re looking for an individual who:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or proven experience as a Project Engineer.
• Previous experience managing commercial projects in the composite / automotive/ motorsport industry preferred but not essential.
• Is conversant with Microsoft Office suite of software and experience in CAD to a level where models can be interrogated.
• A good communicator with people at all levels of the organisation.
• Can work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders
• Has experience in a fast-make environment.
• An independent, self-starter, with good time management and organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
