Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Project Engineer to support the delivery of planned and reactive water maintenance projects across the North West. This permanent, hybrid role will oversee a portfolio of small capital maintenance projects, working across civil engineering, MEICA and wider water infrastructure activities.

The role requires experience managing multidisciplinary projects, understanding of construction contracts and strong stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering multidisciplinary projects, including civil engineering and MEICA works in water
• Track record of project delivery in regulated environments
• Understanding of construction contracts
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Knowledge of project reporting, risk management and supply chain coordination
• Computer competence: Word, Excel, document control systems, Primavera
• HNC, HND or degree in engineering
• SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely
• CSCS card

Responsibilities

• Provide whole-life oversight of projects from design, procurement and assembly through to commissioning and handover
• Lead the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance projects across the water network
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project activities across civil engineering and MEICA
• Ensure supply chain partners comply with framework management plans and project requirements
• Promote a strong health and safety culture and support incident prevention
• Maintain a commercial focus by reviewing project scope and identifying efficient delivery strategies
• Build relationships with client stakeholders, operational teams, supply chain partners and project personnel
• Monitor project performance, identify risks early and ensure accurate reporting through relevant systems

• Provide whole-life oversight of projects from design, procurement and assembly through to commissioning and handover
• Lead the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance projects across the water network
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project activities, including civil engineering and MEICA works
• Ensure supply chain partners comply with framework management plans and project requirements
• Promote a strong health and safety culture and support the prevention of incidents
• Maintain a commercial focus by reviewing project scope and identifying efficient delivery strategies
• Build effective relationships with client stakeholders, operational teams, supply chain partners and wider project personnel
• Monitor project performance, identify risks early and ensure accurate reporting through relevant systems

Job Requirements:

• Experience managing multidisciplinary projects, including civil engineering and MEICA works, preferably within the water sector
• A successful track record of project delivery in a dynamic and regulated environment
• Understanding of construction contracts
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Good knowledge of project reporting, risk management and supply chain coordination
• Computer competence, including Microsoft Word, Excel, document control systems and Primavera software
• HNC, HND or degree in a relevant engineering discipline
• SMSTS qualification or IOSH Managing Safely
• Relevant CSCS card
