Job description

Project Engineer / Project Managers

Location: Nottingham

Salary: cGBP45k - GBP55k, negotiable depending on experience

Our client has been established for almost a quarter of a century and is recognized as a market leader in providing bespoke, innovative materials handling and automation solutions to a diverse range of clients and industry sectors throughout the UK. Due to continued success and ongoing strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit enthusiastic and experienced Project Engineers / Project Managers to join their dynamic and professional team.

Working as part of the Projects team, the successful candidate will thrive within a technology-focused design and solutions environment. Responsibilities include working with various clients and applications across industries such as Parcel, Ecommerce, Manufacturing, and Robotics.

Core responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Assisting with stakeholder management
  • Participating in project and review meetings internally and with clients
  • Creating project programmes
  • Planning bundles
  • PMO activities
  • Budget tracking and margin analysis
  • Invoice initiation and order book management
  • Supporting resource management
  • High-level supplier management
  • Strategic planning
  • Sales project management

Candidates should have proven experience in the automated warehousing and distribution solutions sector, with knowledge of bespoke machinery, material handling, and robotic solutions. Location in the East Midlands (Nottingham, Derby, Leicester) is preferred.

A mechanical engineering degree is advantageous but not essential. Ideally, candidates will have at least 3 years of experience in material handling systems, solutions or programmes, with strong skills in MS Office and experience in logistics and supply chain solutions.
