Job description

Cogent Staffing are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in managing contracts and ensuring high customer satisfaction. This position is essential for delivering projects on time and assisting the Commercial Manager in achieving the company's strategic business objectives.

Salary & Working Hours
  • £45,000 - £55,000 per annum
  • Full time permanent position
  • Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm, early finish Fridays
  • Must have minimum 10 years in project management, specifically in managing senior-level business contracts within engineering manufacturing
Key Responsibilities
  • Share the responsibility for the consistent performance of the Contracts team under the guidance of the Commercial Manager (CM).
  • Train, guide, and instruct project coordinators and contract assistants in accordance with company procedures and best practices.
  • Supervise the contracts team to ensure effective project handling and optimal outcomes for both the company and customers.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive cash flow report within the next three months, ensuring it is functional for all members of the contracts team.
  • Regularly update QP22 reports on a weekly basis.
  • Maintain up-to-date records for BC4's and CM's on a weekly basis.
  • Oversee the performance management of team delegates to ensure excellence and accountability.
Key Requirements
  • Proven experience in project management of 10 years+, with a focus on senior-level business contracts in the engineering manufacturing sector.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate teams.
  • Extensive experience with the responsibilities listed.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes and implement strategic initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in cash flow reporting.
  • Able to commute to Huddersfield.
