Project Engineer – Salary £30,000 – £45,000 | Location: Bedford

Company

This company has grown significantly, focusing on delivering efficient and reliable solutions to a range of industries such as Industrial Manufacturing, Healthcare, Education and Public Services. The Role

As a Project Engineer you will join the projects team where your main responsibility will involve working on larger projects. As part of this team, you will work alongside Service Engineers on call outs and smaller works, but the main focus will remain on project work. You can expect to work with equipment such as circulation pumps, booster pumps and wastewater pumps, as well as associated electrical controls and pipework/valves.

Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical and mechanical engineering duties and projects which can include carrying out installation, repair of pump systems.
  • Act as a mobile pump service engineer for the projects team.
  • Carry out both planned and reactive service visits as scheduled in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with the operations team, providing reports and photos of pumps and associated equipment.
  • Work as part of a team with health and safety demands.
  • Carry out on-the-job training as directed by your line manager to junior members of the team.
  • Carry out dynamic risk assessments on each job as required.
Background / Qualifications
  • The ideal candidate will come from the Pump industry - will also consider HVAC background
  • Previously worked as a Service or Project Engineer
  • Driving Licence
  • Formal qualification in either Electrical or Mechanical
