Qualifications

  • Minimum SVQ level 3 or equivalent in relevant trade qualification.
  • Preferred experience working in a mechanical, fabrication or piping engineering environment.
  • Preferred experience working on CDM worksites.
  • Preferred basic knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 45001.
  • Preferred full clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects under CDM regulations 2015.
  • Estimate project costs and scope based on customer inquiries.
  • Coordinate and communicate with clients and stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain HSEQ documentation.
  • Conduct HSEQ site audits and compile reports.
  • Oversee subcontractors and manage site personnel.
  • Ensure safety and compliance on-site.

Job description
Job Purpose

The main purpose of this position is the management of projects under CDM regulations 2015, this will include estimating initial queries, client liaison, preparation and maintenance of HSEQ documentation, commercial decision making, reporting, site setup / establishment, new supply / manufacture and/or refurbishment of existing plant, equipment and components, management of sub‑contractor & suppliers and site commissioning in a safe and responsible manner at all times.

Main Responsibilities
  • Undertake the management of projects as requested by the Divisional Manager
  • Management of onsite projects in accordance with the CDM regulations 2015
  • Estimating of projects as per customer enquiries, scope of works, specifications and requirements
  • Planning and management of projects from initiation to completion
  • Creation, management and maintenance of all required HSEQ documentation for the projects
  • Customer liaison, meetings, reporting and communication
  • Commercial management of the projects
  • Undertake HSEQ site audits & compile reports
  • Organisation and management of sub‑contractors relating to the projects
  • Management of AJT site supervisors and site personnel whilst onsite works are being undertaken
  • Project document control and certification
  • Project progress / commercial / HSEQ reporting to Divisional Manager
  • Maintain a safe and tidy working environment and make appropriate use of PPE at all times
  • Work to the requirements of CDM regulations 2015
  • Work to HSE ACOPs, customer rules & specifications, company / divisional work instructions and forms at all times
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times
  • Carry out any other reasonable task / activities as requested by Divisional Manager or Senior Management Team
Skills And Abilities
  • Ability to learn and adapt to the requirements of the role
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and BOMs
  • Possess computer skills and knowledge of using Microsoft software packages such as Word and Excel etc
  • Possess a high level of focus and attention to detail and accuracy
  • Organisational ability and time management skills
  • Demonstrated self‑starter with high initiative and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Advanced conversational and written English/high level interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces
  • Ability to deal with sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Able to work away from home as required
  • Able to work overtime
Knowledge & Experience

Working Hours

This is a full‑time role based on 38 hours per week.
