ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Project Director, you will lead the delivery of complex, major capital projects across our Yorkshire Water AMP8 framework. Operating at the intersection of strategic governance and hands-on execution, you will oversee multidisciplinary project teams, drive commercial performance, and ensure excellence across the design and construction (D&C) lifecycle.

In this senior leadership position, you will act as a primary interface for key client stakeholders, manage business risk across major project portfolios, and champion a strong culture of health, safety, and wellbeing.

YOUR IMPACT

As a Project Director, you'll be a key part of our sector leadership structure. You'll be a strategic and hands-on leader, guiding our Project Managers and teams to deliver large-scale projects and programmes, with a particular focus in the design & construction (D&C) environment.

We need Project Directors like you to support the incredible growth we're seeing in our Major Projects portfolio. Your in-depthunderstanding of design for construction and the commercial acumen to ensure successful financial outcomes. Ideally you will have some consultancy experience in the water sector.

You’ll also play a pivotal role in shaping Stantec's future. Working with the Major Projects Discipline & Market Area Director, you’ll help develop our people, whilst working with the Regional Leadership teams to implement commercial and risk management strategies across our projects and programmes. ABOUT YOU

You will be a seasoned project leader with a track record in delivering successful Major Projects within a multidisciplinary environment. You will possess an in‑depthunderstanding of design for construction and the commercial acumen to ensure successful financial outcomes. Ideally you will have some consultancy experience in the water sector.

As primary contact for our clients, you will also have the ability to effectively manage stakeholder relationships, whilst also being able todemonstrate exemplary HSSE management & wellbeing behaviour.

You will ideally hold Chartership status with a relevant institution.
