Job summary

Turner & Townsend in the UK is seeking a key strategic Project Director to lead major infrastructure commissions. You will drive delivery at scale, grow relationships with clients, and guide multi-disciplinary teams across rail, highways, utilities and local authorities. You should be commercially minded, mobile across the UK, and capable of operating at board level, shaping strategy, bidding, and programme delivery with NEC3/4 contracts knowledge.

Qualifications

Proven ability to lead diverse teams across multiple sectors (rail, aviation, utilities, power, highways, local authorities).
Background in Project Management or engineering with capex delivery experience.
Experience delivering Major Programmes and Projects.
Experience leading and managing teams and client relationships at senior levels.
Familiarity with NEC3/4 contracts.
Proven business development, bid, and client engagement experience.

Responsibilities

Having secured several long-term frameworks through successful project and programme wins and with increasing client satisfaction we are currently seeking to hire a key strategic Project Director level role in our UK Infrastructure business. You will take the lead in growing our relationships within the Midlands region as well as having a direct impact in supporting our national initiatives, as such this role will require individuals who are happy to be mobile across the UK. The ideal candidate would be commercially minded and who is motivated in cultivating and developing relationships. You will need to have demonstrable experience in leading delivery of commissions working at strategic levels with clients.

Qualifications

A proven and experienced leader of diverse teams across multi sectors such as Rail, aviation, utilities, power, highways, local authorities.
A background in one of Turner & Townsend's key service lines Project Management, alternatively, an engineering background with in-depth experience of capital programme delivery would be equally applicable.
Experience of leading and managing Major Programmes and Projects.
Experience in leading and managing teams.
Working knowledge of NEC3/4 contracts.
Demonstrable experience in successful business generation activities including bidding at all levels, networking, pursuit planning and client engagement and management.
Ability to develop and grow client relationships across all levels of an organisation.
Procurement, asset management, or advisory (programme set up or performance improvement) would be desirable.
Experience of inclusion on both client and internal boards, setting strategy and successfully delivering these including resourcing and growth strategies to deliver growth targets.
