Job summary

Borne Resourcing Limited is recruiting an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of a major hyperscale data centre development in Hertfordshire. This senior client-side role focuses on enabling works before construction, with progression through commissioning and handover.

The position requires leading multi-disciplinary teams, strong commercial acumen, and a willingness to be based on site in Hertfordshire five days per week. Salary up to £170k depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Director, Programme Director or Construction Director.
• Track record delivering major construction projects >£200m.
• Experience managing enabling works packages.
• Ideally hyperscale data centres or other large, complex developments.
• Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management.
• Willingness to be based on site in Hertfordshire five days a week.

This is a senior, client-side position on a substantial, technically complex project, with an immediate focus on enabling works before progressing through construction, commissioning and handover.

The Role

• Lead and oversee the delivery of a major hyperscale data centre project.
• Take responsibility for the enabling works and pre-construction stages.
• Manage principal contractors, consultants and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Oversee programme, cost, quality, risk and project delivery.
• Provide senior-level leadership and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Director, Programme Director or Construction Director.
• Track record of delivering major construction projects in excess of £200m.
• Strong, demonstrable experience managing enabling works packages.
• Ideally, experience delivering hyperscale data centres or other large, technically complex developments.
• Strong commercial awareness and experience managing major contractors and project stakeholders.
• Willingness to be based on site in Hertfordshire five days per week.

PackageSalary circa £150,000, with flexibility between £130,000 and £170,000 depending on experience and track record.
