Job summary

Omexom in the United Kingdom seeks a Project Director to lead large-scale, high-impact programmes within the GGP unit, delivering strategic planning, execution and governance to drive overall success.

You will supervise multiple project managers, manage budgets and risks, coordinate cross-functional teams, report to the Business Unit General Manager, and liaise with clients and executives to align stakeholders and ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, engineering, or a relevant field.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in project management with a track record of leading large-scale, complex, high-budget projects.
• Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders, and oversee strategic planning.
• Proficient in budgeting, risk management, and using MS Project, Jira, or Asana.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for reporting to executives and stakeholders.

Job Title: Project Director

Purpose of the Position:

The key function of this role is to be responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and oversight of the large-scale, high impact projects of your business unit, ensuring they align with organisational goals. The successful candidate with supervise multiple project managers, manage budgets, mitigate high-level risks, and serve as the key liaison between stakeholders, clients, and executive leadership.

Desirable criteria

• Extensive experience in successful delivery of £50m+ programmes of work
• Portfolios of technically and commercially complex projects within the electrical engineering sector.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a bonus.
