Harmony is on a mission to be the best life safety partner to work with and for. Rated an “Outstanding Employer” by Best Companies in 2026, we are only getting bigger and stronger, and we’re looking for A-players to help us get there.
We are passionate about making a difference and obsessed with quality. Our goal is to build a world where every resident can sleep safely at night, knowing their home is 100% safe.
Harmony is a purpose-driven safety consultancy with in-house construction capabilities, specialising in the housing and NHS sectors. We partner with over 80% of the UK’s Housing Associations and Local Authorities, delivering pragmatic, proportionate fire safety solutions that protect lives and withstand scrutiny.
We are now looking for a Project Director to lead the delivery of our M&E and Active Fire Protection projects, based in Dudley. Reporting to the Head of Delivery, you will take overall ownership of the project team, from project managers through to site operatives and project admin, making sure every project is delivered safely, compliantly, profitably and with the “white glove” customer experience Harmony is known for.
You will be commercially accountable for a portfolio of projects ranging from small works of around £5k to large multi-site installations of up to £5 million, protecting gross profit from handover through to completion and forecasting with accuracy.
You will build and lead a high-performing team of permanent staff and subcontractors, manage the supply chain and hold everyone to the standards Harmony expects on quality, compliance and health and safety.
Success in the role is measured on delivered GP at or above the GP at handover, an accurate 90-day revenue and GP forecast, customer NPS, H&S inspections completed by you and your team, and 100% adherence to our quality control process, with demonstrable compliance on every asset installed.
This is a senior role based in Dudley, with extensive travel to offices and sites across the UK, including overnight stays where needed.
This is a chance to lead the delivery of M&E and Active Fire Protection projects for one of the UK’s fastest-growing life safety specialists, with real ownership of the commercial result, the customer experience and the team that delivers it. At Harmony, we ask a lot — and we give a lot back. The hours are real, the standards are high and the work is demanding, but for those who show up, deliver and go the extra mile, the rewards follow. A-players here enjoy a competitive salary, private medical insurance, a Personal Development Plan with leadership mentoring and ongoing training, unlimited holiday, a performance bonus, enhanced maternity and paternity, lunch, snacks and refreshments on us every day (fresh fruit and Takeaway Friday included), a team social budget, cycle to work, an auto-enrolment pension, two major company events a year and our Reward and Recognition scheme — including European mini-breaks for those who go above and beyond. It is a collaborative, high-energy environment focused on doing things the right way — and none of it is a perk for showing up; it’s what we share with the people pulling the business forward.
Harmony is an equal opportunity employer. We consider all applicants for employment regardless of age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, family or parental status, race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion or belief. We want everyone who works with us to feel valued and to make a difference.
