Job summary

Bristol Industrial is seeking a Project Data Analyst to support the Operations team, turning large data sets into clear, user-friendly outputs. The role focuses on developing a costing model by reviewing BoM data and validating component costs.

You will develop Power BI interfaces to provide summary-level data with drill-down capability and work with Operations and wider teams. The position is site-based with 90% on-site time and a temporary 6-month contract, with travel as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in reviewing and presenting large data sets.
• Proficiency in Excel; Power BI experience is desirable.
• Experience with SAP is desirable.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear, concise summaries.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Job description

We are recruiting for a Project Data Analyst to support a client’s Operations team, reviewing large data sets and turning complex information into clear, user-friendly outputs.

The Role

• Review, manipulate and analyse large data packages.
• Develop Power BI front-end interfaces to provide clear summary-level data with drill-down capability.
• Initially focus on developing a costing model by reviewing aircraft Bills of Material (BoM), validating components and re-validating associated costs.
• Work closely with Operations, Industrial Operations and wider business teams.
• Present outputs at project and occasional senior-level reviews.
• Work to agreed deadlines and continuously improve the accuracy and usability of outputs.
• Occasional national/international travel may be required.

About You

• Strong experience managing and presenting large amounts of data in Excel.
• Experience with Power BI is desirable, but not essential.
• Experience using Siemens Teamcenter would be advantageous; training can be provided.
• Able to break down complex data into clear, understandable summaries.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and general IT skills.
• SAP experience is desirable.
• Basic financial awareness/cost modelling experience would be beneficial.
• Aircraft build/BoM experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Good written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to present your work.

This is a temporary 6-month position with the potential for extension and offers the opportunity to work within a varied project and product environment. The role is predominantly site-based, with at least 90% of time expected on-site.
