Project Coordinator – Training Provider Network

Location: Peterborough (Hybrid). CITB is currently operating a hybrid approach to working, with the team working from home and attending the office an average of one to two days per month depending on business need.

Target Salary: £46,350 (increasing from the 1st September to £47,973).

We have an exciting opportunity to join CITB’s Training & Assessment team as a Project Coordinator (internally known as a Product Developer) for our Training Provider Network. This brand‑new initiative gives you the chance to shape and influence products from day one, ensuring they launch successfully and make a real impact across the sector.

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
Managing Product Development
  • Project manage the production of content for products via internal and external experts.
  • Effectively hand over new products to the Training Provider Network Manager for ongoing delivery.
  • Continuously review and improve the portfolio of existing products and services for TPN.
  • Develop the methods of product delivery to improve customer experience.
  • Coordinate quality reviews of product content via industry experts.
Project Management
  • Develop detailed product project plans with clearly identified objectives, timelines, risks and issues.
  • Effectively manage project delivery on an ongoing basis; monitor and report on progress; manage timescales, budget and quality; and proactively manage risks and issues.
  • Design, allocate and manage work packages to internal and external experts.
  • Identify and consult with key stakeholders (internal and external) in any particular development project ensuring that they are consulted.
  • Conduct post project lessons learnt and highlight any potential future improvements.
  • Ensure that all projects are sufficiently resourced and that timelines for completion are both reasonable and aligned to the product release cycle.
  • Stakeholder engagement.
  • Develop product collateral to support testing and validation, attend customer focus groups to gather feedback as required.
  • Support the effective promotion of products by supporting marketing, communications and sales.
Product Awareness
  • Develop a full and complete understanding of your product group and support the development of the product roadmap.
  • Inform the development of new processes to support products and services.
  • Analyse product data and market research to support the production of new products and services.
Knowledge and Experience
Essential
  • Experience of delivering projects in a commercial environment.
  • Project Management professional qualification such as APM or Prince2 qualification (or willingness to work towards this).
  • Education to A level standard (or equivalent).
  • Clear, confident and persuasive communicator and presenter at appropriate levels.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate both internally and externally.
  • Self‑motivated and able to plan and organise own workload.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills.
Desirable
  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent).
  • Experience of developing products or content in the training or education sector.
  • Experience of the construction sector.
  • The ability to manage conflict and difficult situations.
