A leading energy job board is looking for a Project Coordinator to support project leads in Peterborough. The role focuses on ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of experience and a strong background in project management tools, particularly MS Project. Responsibilities include maintaining project statuses, facilitating meetings, and ensuring action points are met. This is a full-time, onsite position with an initial 12-month contract.

Job Description

Project Coordinator (Peterborough) – Full time on site

Initial 12 Month Contract – likely to extend for the right person!

Hours: 37 a week, 8:30 - 16:45 Mon - Thurs, 8:30 - 16:15 Fri

Up to £26.40 per hour PAYE /Up to £35.85 per hour via Umbrella contract

Do you enjoy assisting with the planning of projects and making sure they deliver as required? Can you facilitate team meetings, ensuring everyone takes away their own action points and then delivers them by their required date? Have you used MS Project?

Responsibilities
  • Support Program Leads on allocated projects to ensure they’re delivered on time, to cost & quality – experience ideally in an engineering/manufacturing/IT environment.
  • Maintain project status, schedules, risk registers, issue/action logs, scope change requests, program cost tracking.
  • Facilitate team meetings, ensure action points are captured and delivered by required dates.
  • Provide workshop planning, execution and follow‑up assistance.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years demonstrable job‑related experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of project management software – MS Project desirable.
  • Good Excel skills (complex formulas, linking multiple worksheets, pivot tables, graphs).
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and web publishing tools.
  • Experience with project charters, scheduling, on‑time delivery, risk registers, FMEAs, scope change logs.
  • Strong project management, indirect leadership, communication, multitasking, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to manage sensitive issues and develop others.
  • Prince 2/PMP or equivalent qualification and Six Sigma experience advantageous.
