Job description

Job Title: Social Value Coordinator

Location: Office-based Maidenhead

Contract: Fixed-term (12 months), Part-time (3 days per week)

Reports To: Sustainability Manager - UK & Ireland

Our client is committed to delivering social value through reducing health inequalities and promoting sustainability, in line with NHS priorities. We're looking for a proactive Social Value Coordinator to support and deliver projects that make a positive impact in communities across the UK. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in social value or someone looking to transfer skills into a purpose-driven role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and deliver social value projects (health education, volunteering, employment initiatives).
  • Work with commercial teams, NHS partners, and community organisations to create impact-driven activities.
  • Track, measure, and report on social value outcomes.
  • Coordinate employee volunteering and CSR opportunities.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders (NHS Trusts, local authorities, charities, schools).
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of Abbott's UK Social Value Strategy.
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Confident communicator with good stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Passion for sustainability, health equity, and community development.
  • Knowledge of the Social Value Act, PPN 06/20, and NHS procurement (or willingness to learn).
  • Ability to work independently and travel within the UK.
Preferred Experience
  • Project management qualification or proven experience in delivering community-focused projects.
  • Familiarity with social value measurement tools (e.g., Thrive, Social Value Portal).
  • Background in healthcare, pharma, construction/infrastructure, public sector, or similar.
  • Degree or experience in sustainability, public affairs, or social impact.
