Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Project Controls Manager to lead robust cost control, EVM, risk management, and performance reporting for a Data Centre Construction program with international partners. You will act as the client’s representative, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget while coordinating with delivery teams.

The role requires strong communication to stakeholders, experience in project controls within construction, and mentoring of junior staff.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, or related discipline.
• Professional certifications (APM, PMP, or equivalent) desirable.
• Time served experience in project controls within construction or infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost baselines.
• Monitor progress against milestones, identify risks, and drive corrective actions (Primavera P6).
• Identify and mitigate project risks; maintain risk registers and reports.
• Prepare monthly reports and dashboards, including Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics.
• Facilitate monthly reporting process, fostering team collaboration to meet deadlines.
• Manage scope changes and contract variations in line with the contract.
• Enforcing adherence to governance frameworks, reporting standards, and QA processes.
• Act as the primary interface between the client and delivery teams.
• Mentor and develop junior project controls staff.

Data Centre Construction project in the Nordics. Overseeing multiple construction and engineering partners to ensure alignment with project objectives. The successful candidate will act as the client’s representative, ensuring that all contractors and suppliers are managed effectively to deliver against agreed scope, schedule, and budget.

Monthly travel to Finland required.

Role Purpose

The Project Controls Manager will lead the implementation of robust project control systems to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role covers cost management, earned value management, risk management, and performance reporting, acting as a key link between project leadership, delivery teams, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost baselines.
• Monitoring progress against milestones, proactively identifying risks, and driving corrective actions where required. (Primavera P6 ).
• Identify and mitigate project risks; maintain risk registers and reports.
• Prepare monthly reports and dashboards, including Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of project controls principles (EVM, cost control, scheduling, change management, risk management).
• Proficiency in project management software and data analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
