Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Glasgow is seeking a Summer Intern to support the Project Controls team within Construction. You will assist with filing, data entry, scanning, PowerPoint presentations, and responses to general questions while collaborating with colleagues.

You will collect and analyze data, present solutions, and participate in continuous improvement projects across departments. Applicants should be enrolled in a related bachelor’s program with strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited program.
• Currently enrolled and in good standing in a post-secondary education program in a field related to the work done in the department.
• Minimum of a 2.1 strongly preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities or organizations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United Kingdom on a full-time basis without requiring future sponsorship for employment visa status.

The Construction group is responsible for construction phase services in the design-build process and support for safety and health, estimating/pre-construction, field operations, quality, project management. The Project Controls team is responsible for leading the project controls process with the internal project management team to execute project deliverables on schedule and within budget. This opportunity is for a summer 2027 internship.

An Intern will work collaboratively with our teams to support a Burns & McDonnell Department, Global Practice or Regional Office. This position will provide support and assistance with requests in support of the business strategy.
