Job summary

Infraspec, Derby-based consultancy, invites Project Controls professionals at all levels to join a growing function supporting major defence programmes. You'll develop integrated schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project, manage costs, forecast, and report performance.

Work with programme leaders, planning, commercial and client stakeholders; gain exposure across disciplines and contribute to governance, risk, and delivery improvements. Hybrid working in Derby.

Qualifications

• Experience in project controls within defence, infrastructure or complex programmes.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts and structured programme delivery frameworks.
• Experience using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Power BI or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
• Support programme performance through effective cost management, forecasting, and reporting.
• Produce project controls dashboards, analysis, and management information.
• Assist with risk identification, change management, and programme governance activities.
• Monitor programme progress and provide accurate performance reporting to stakeholders.
• Support the implementation of project controls best practice across complex programmes.
• Collaborate with project management, planning, commercial, and engineering teams to drive delivery performance.

The Opportunity

Joining an established and growing project controls function, you'll work alongside programme leaders, planners, commercial teams, and client stakeholders to provide the insight and controls required to drive successful programme outcomes.

You will gain exposure across multiple disciplines within project controls, supporting major defence programmes through every stage of the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

About You

We're keen to speak with individuals who have experience in one or more of the following disciplines:

You’ll ideally possess:

• Experience within defence, infrastructure, engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, or other complex project environments
• Knowledge of NEC contracts and structured programme delivery frameworks
• Experience using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Power BI, or similar tools
• Strong analytical and reporting capabilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• A proactive approach with a focus on delivery and continuous improvement
