Job summary

Expleo is seeking a Project Controller to support Aerospace programs, based at the customer site in Prestwick. You will contribute to project planning, reporting and governance under the Engineering Team Leader, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with best practices.

You will assist in developing schedules, monitoring KPIs, and coordinating with Finance/Commercial teams to control spend. Strong communication and multi-disciplinary leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of program planning principles.

• Experience in financial reporting and KPI tracking.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Development/Production schedules for projects.
• Support adoption of Project Management Best Practices across the program.
• Assist Project Manager with planning, control and reporting of project activities.
• Develop performance metrics and ensure accurate reporting via KPIs.
• Prepare customer reports and presentations for major reviews.
• Coordinate with Finance and Commercial teams to monitor spend against budgets.
• Support monthly program reviews and stakeholder communications.

We are currently recruiting a Project Controller to support one of our Aerospace customers contract to control all project management activity within the Program Management Project team including the development and maintenance of project business processes and documentation to comply with Corporate Project Management Best Practices, maintenance of action logs, level 1 plans, resource management and Risk and Opportunity management. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience, seniority, etc. The successful candidate(s) will play a key role in delivering a high-quality service to our client and will be expected to be proactive and self-motivated in delivering the targeted outputs to support the product.

The successful candidate will be based both on the customer's site in Prestwick and will report directly to the Engineering Team Leader.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining accurate Development and / or Production Schedules to support projects.
• Support the introduction and maintenance of Project Management Best Practices across the project.
• Assist Project Manager to create, and control the configuration of, all Project and functional level plans and activities during the non-recurring phase of new projects and major changes to existing projects.
• Assist the Project Manager in the development, reporting and ongoing review of appropriate performance metrics. Ensure accurate reporting through the maintenance of topical KPIs.
• Maintain Customer reports and presentations including the co-ordination of information for major programme and plan reviews.
• Assist the Project Manager in liaising with Finance and Commercial focal’s to support accurate reporting, monitoring and control of spend against Project budgets.
• Co-ordination and review of reporting packs for all Customer monthly Program Reviews.
• Assist Senior Project Controllers and Project Managers in managing the Opportunities and Risk process at local level, including, managing interfaces with internal functions.
• Maintain and develop (where applicable) ‘standard templates’ for reporting and presenting.
• Co-ordinate and host stakeholder calls and management of action item logs.

• Authority to make recommendations to First Level Management on output of various analysis and determine corrective actions required if applicable

Experience

• Good understanding of program planning principles and strategic drivers
• Ability to lead projects and delegate/manage tasks
• Management and understanding of local and corporate processes
• Previous experience of working in a project environment
