Job summary

Arcadis, the world\'s leading design, engineering and consultancy company, is seeking a Project Controller to help deliver national and international projects across Defence, Government, industrial and technology sectors.

You will support project teams by producing plans, schedules and data reports, monitor KPIs, and provide analysis to inform senior decision making, while promoting adherence to established processes and controls.

Qualifications

  • Logical approach to complex issues to coordinate multi-faceted projects.

Responsibilities

  • Work within established financial procedures to assist in production of basic project plans and schedules.
  • Individually contribute to a range of professional assignments supporting on-time, quality delivery.
  • Collate and interpret data to prepare project documents and schedules.
  • Analyze data and trends to develop recommendations for senior decision makers.
  • Monitor and evaluate project management processes to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Complete complex tasks prioritising workload and applying policy guidance to support the PM function.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to provide advisory support and align policy with practice.

In the role of Project Controller, you will deliver distinct elements of projects or contribute to the delivery of overall programmes of work. Additionally, you will be accountable for for monitoring and escalation of project management KPIs and performance metrics, communicating project process compliance issues and the delivery of timely and accurate data collection, analysis and reports

You will collaborate with project teams to deliver national and international projects spanning from small to very large in scale. Our project portfolio encompasses a variety of sectors, with a significant portion of our current workload concentrated in the Defence & Central Government, industrial, manufacturing, and technology sectors.

Role accountabilities:
  • Work within established financial procedures to assist in the production of basic plans and schedules for projects, and monitor and review financial information, in order to identify any anomalies or discrepancies and ensure management has access to up-to-date and accurate information on project
  • Individually contribute to a range of professional assignments and monitor in order to support the delivery of projects to time and quality standards
  • Independently collate and interpret data to prepare documents including project plans and schedules
  • Analyse data and trends on project to develop simple recommendations to support senior colleagues in their decision making process
  • Take a proactive role in monitoring and evaluating existing project management processes in order to identify opportunities and provide advice for the improvement of processes and systems
  • Complete complex, professional level tasks as requested by colleagues, prioritising case load and interpreting established policies in order to effectively support the project management function
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders from across the business to provide specialist advisory support to internal clients, acting as a focal point for operational project queries and ensure that there is alignment between policy and operational practice
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Relevant business experience, including experience supporting large and complex projects
  • Good communication skills, including the ability to liaise with peers and senior colleagues and build and maintain relationships
  • Commercial awareness and organisational understanding
  • A logical approach and ability to think through complex issues to co-ordinate multi-faceted aspects of projects
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and systems
  • AWPM

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
