Job summary

Linxon, based in Glasgow, is hiring a Project Buyer to manage local purchasing for site offices and UK operations. You will source and evaluate local suppliers, negotiate long‑term agreements, and ensure procurement aligns with project budgets and timelines.

You will collaborate with the Supply Chain Management team, onboard suppliers, and monitor invoicing against milestones using Oracle ERP. This role supports sustainable project delivery and requires fluent English and strong analytical

• Experience in supply chain, accounting, or finance.
• Good knowledge of Oracle ERP system.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Local purchases for site offices and UK sites.
• Negotiate with suppliers and place long-term agreements.

• Check invoice amounts against PO milestones and stay within budget.

Location: Glasgow

As one of the leading engineering companies, we help our customers with turnkey solutions in the field of substations for power transmission, renewable energy, and transportation.

As a single point of contact we combine the accumulated knowhow of key-suppliers and contractors so that customers benefit from efficient solutions, increased industrial productivity and a lower environmental impact in a sustainable way. This role sits within our Supply Chain Management team. The purpose of the role is to provide local purchase requirements, identifying local suppliers required for day to day basis for the site offices and site purchases and office purchases.

Key Areas Of Responsibility (KARs)

• Local purchases and have idea about local supplier market in UK.
• Negotiate with the suppliers ,make agreements for long-term purchases.
• Coordinate with the key site stake of site and office purchases understand the requirements

and place orders within budget and cost.

• Onboard local suppliers and visit the sites if required.
• Checking if the invoice amount matches with PO milestone payment.
