Conrad Consulting Ltd is recruiting a Project Architect in London to lead high-profile Education sector schemes from concept to completion. You will head internal teams and external consultants, liaising with clients and guiding design through to delivery.

The role offers hybrid working, a competitive salary (£42k-£50k), and a strong development culture within a renowned AJ100 practice focused on innovative schools and learning environments.

Qualifications

• ARB/RIBA Chartered Architect with current UK registration.
• Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience.
• Experience in Education sector, especially Secondary Schools.
• Recent experience on the DfE Contractors Framework 21 (2021–25).
• Strong communication and client-facing abilities; confident with the CEM process.
• Experience coordinating with contractor teams on DfE High Value Band.
• Proficiency in ArchiCAD; Revit considered.
• Knowledge of UK legislation; driving licence.

The Role

As a Project Architect, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-profile Department for Education (DfE) framework projects, particularly Secondary School schemes. You’ll lead both internal teams and external design consultants, guiding projects from concept through to completion. Client liaison, team management and hands-on design leadership will all be part of your day-to-day.

Project Architect Key Requirements

• ARB/RIBA Chartered Architect
• Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience
• Proven track record in the Education sector (Secondary Schools essential)
• Recent (2021-25) experience on the DfE Contractors Framework 21
• Strong communication skills - confident in client-facing roles and the CEM process
• Experience collaborating with contractor teams on DfE High Value Band
• Proficiency in ArchiCAD highly desirable (Revit also considered)
• Demonstrable job-running ability and knowledge of UK legislation
• Sketching/hand-drawing skills advantageous
• Full UK driving licence
