A leading transport solutions company in Poole is seeking a qualified professional to manage the workflow of customer project orders. You will process orders in SAP and handle export documentation while ensuring compliance with exporting regulations. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of exporting shipments and experience with SAP. Qualifications

  • Understanding of GB export customs clearance formalities processes.
  • Knowledge of shipping incoterms.
  • Strong general understanding of SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Manage workflow of customers project orders issued from the internal tendering team.
  • Process orders in SAP.
  • Raise purchase/framework orders for logistics partners.
  • Organise and manage the process to obtain letter of credits.
  • Maintain comprehensive shipping records and update the export register.
  • Organise FCA freight collections and imports to GB.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Manage workflow of customers project orders issued from the internal tendering team
  • Process orders in SAP (sales orders)
  • Order directly from suppliers for ancillary equipment as and when required for customer projects (external suppliers)
  • Raise purchase/framework orders for logistics partners
  • Raise shipping documentation (GAI, Packing list) for export shipments
  • Organise and manage the process to obtain letter of credits and certificate of origin from the Chamber of Commerce
  • Maintain comprehensive shipping records and update the export register (including project cost allocations)
  • Organise FCA freight collections and imports to GB from suppliers/customers as and when required
  • Obtain freight quotations for business stakeholders from our approved logistics partners
  • Issue clearance instructions to export customs brokers; obtain copies of the export declarations and check for accuracy
  • Maintain good communication and organisational skills (internal /external customers)
  • Produce monthly forecasting reports for the business (when the project customers payments are due)
  • Invoice customers for project associated costs
  • Be familiar with using SAP, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Work independently and in a time‑critical environment as the point of contact for all project export shipments, self‑managing workload and priorities
  • Organise ad‑hoc repair shipments, either being collected or returned to the customer
  • Act as the customer's single point of contact to manage and process any queries
  • Liaise with all internal teams, customs brokers and freight forwarders as necessary
