Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting a Project Accountant for a role based in the Reigate and Banstead borough within the industrial/manufacturing sector. You will oversee financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting across multiple projects, ensuring accuracy and timely analysis to support business goals.

Key duties include monitoring revenue, costs, profitability and backlog; producing monthly reports with insights; maintaining controls for billing and revenue collection; and partnering with Project

Qualifications

• Qualified accounting professional with project accounting or project finance experience.
• Solid experience in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Strong financial analysis and reporting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive financial management and reporting across a portfolio of projects.
• Monitor project performance including revenue, costs, profitability, bookings and backlog.
• Produce monthly financial reports and analysis highlighting trends, risks and opportunities.
• Coordinate budgeting and forecasting processes for projects and business units.
• Review cost estimates and analyze performance to explain variances and improve forecasts.
• Support revenue recognition processes and ensure compliance with policies.
• Maintain robust financial controls for billing, revenue collection and reporting.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and senior finance stakeholders on ad hoc reporting and process improvements.
