Job Description
Project Accountant responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial guidelines.
- Monitor and report on the financial performance of ongoing projects.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making processes.
- Manage project-related financial records and ensure proper documentation.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure alignment with financial objectives.
- Prepare financial reports and forecasts for stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Identify and address financial risks related to projects.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Project Accountant should have:
- Relevant qualifications in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project accounting or financial management.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication skills.
