Job summary

Arden White is recruiting a Project Accountant (Project Finance) for a leading aviation organisation near Oxford Airport. This role suits professionals in project accounting, programme finance or finance business partnering, to support complex aviation and defence programmes.

You will manage project financial reporting, budgeting, EAC updates, SAP reporting, and stakeholder briefings, with on-site work up to five days per week.

Qualifications

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
• Experience in project accounting or project finance.
• Advanced Excel and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

This role would suit a Project Accountant, Programme Accountant, Finance Business Partner, or Project Finance professional looking to support complex aviation and defence-related programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Project financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting
• Contract reviews and monthly Estimate at Completion (EAC) updates
• Support month-end and year-end financial reporting activities
• Monitor programme costs, labour bookings and financial performance
• Support audits and regulatory reporting requirements
• Provide financial insight and challenge to programme delivery teams
• Maintain financial data and reporting within SAP

Requirements

• Professionally qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Experience in project accounting, project finance, programme finance, financial controlling, or finance business partnering
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Advanced Excel skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Additional Information

• Salary up to £65,000
• Based near Oxford Airport
• On-site working, up to 5 days per week
• 37.5-hour working week
• Must be eligible to obtain SC Clearance
