An educational institution in the UK seeks a dynamic Progress Tutor to support level 1 learners. The role involves managing a case load of students and delivering tutorial support to enhance their development and skills. Candidates should have a level 3 qualification and experience in education. We are seeking to appoint a dynamic Progress Tutor to join the team and support our level 1 learners to achieve their full potential and progress to their next steps. The curriculum area has over 300 learners on a wide range of level 1 foundation learning programmes and specialist provision. This role is being considered for a full time (Term Time Only), part time and/or sessional basis. The successful candidate will manage and coach a case load of learners in partnership with curriculum, other progress tutors and staff. They will be responsible for delivering the personal, social and development aspect of the tutorial programme along with sessions to develop their transferable skills such as team building, communication and confidence. You will deliver inspiring tutorial support to ensure all students are supported to succeed through the delivery of high quality and challenging learning experiences.
The ideal candidate will have very strong interpersonal and organisational skills, patience, strong communication and work effectively in a large cross-curricular team. You will possess excellent planning and administration skills and be able to work to deadlines. You should also be able to foster independent thinking and manage behaviour effectively. A level 3 qualification and experience in an educational setting are essential for this role. For those candidates wanting to start a career in teaching this is a perfect route in.
