Programme Quality Engineer

Location: New Malden

Salary: £47,400 - £71,000 per annum + benefits

TEC Partners are recruiting for a skilled Programme Quality Engineer to join a leading defence and technology organisation, working on complex system development projects. This is a key position providing Mission and Quality Assurance support across major programmes, ensuring compliance with customer, contractual, and industry standards. You'll oversee the quality of hardware and electrical systems throughout the project lifecycle, from bid and design through to delivery, maintaining full control of assurance processes and ensuring deliverables meet all required technical and quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Mission Assurance and Quality Assurance (MA/QA) support across bids and active programmes.
  • Monitor progress of hardware and electrical systems for compliance with technical and process standards.
  • Provide independent oversight of programmes, supporting gate reviews and assurance milestones.
  • Liaise with project and supply chain teams to manage supplier quality and performance.
  • Support risk management and subcontractor assurance activities.
  • Ensure customer deliverables meet contractual and regulatory standards.
  • Produce MA/QA reports, elevate risks, and support quality audits.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Proven background in Quality Assurance within a systems engineering or defence environment.
  • Strong understanding of MOD assurance and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience in quality improvement, non-conformance management, and root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, and related defence or aerospace quality standards.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel across the UK (up to 25%).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain UK Security Clearance (SC) - Sole British citizenship required.
