Job summary

Matchtech is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead major maritime construction and estate infrastructure programmes on the South Coast. The role combines delivery leadership with complex regulatory requirements and a hybrid working model.

You will manage lifecycles from concept to handover, coordinate stakeholders and contractors, and drive safety, quality and schedule performance while ensuring NEC contract and CDM compliance.

Qualifications

• Extensive programme or project management experience within construction, estates, civil engineering or infrastructure environments.
• Proven track record delivering complex construction projects from inception to completion.
• Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and experience as Client Representative or Project Sponsor.
• Experience managing NEC contracts and construction procurement.
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Programme Manager to lead the delivery of major construction, civil engineering, and estate infrastructure programmes across a complex, highly regulated maritime environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver a programme of major construction and estate projects.
• Manage project lifecycles from concept, design and procurement through to handover.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee programme governance, reporting, risk management and financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and industry best practice.
• Manage contractors, consultants and supply chain partners.
• Drive programme performance across safety, quality, cost and schedule objectives.

Essential Experience

• Extensive programme or project management experience within construction, estates, civil engineering or infrastructure environments.
• Proven track record delivering complex construction projects from inception to completion.
• Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations and experience acting as Client Representative, Project Sponsor or similar.
• Experience managing NEC contracts and construction procurement activities.
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.

Desirable

• Degree-qualified in Construction, Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline.
• APM, PRINCE2 or Chartered professional accreditation.
• Experience within defence, government, maritime, utilities, transport, nuclear or other regulated sectors.
