Job summary

Verifone is seeking a Programme Manager, Cloud Services DevOps to lead enterprise cloud transformation initiatives. You will coordinate cross-functional teams across software development, IT operations, security and finance, and drive governance, budgets and delivery excellence in a fast-paced environment.

You will oversee multi-cloud strategies and automate deployments with IaC tools, while embedding security and ITIL practices into the delivery lifecycle to ensure reliable, scalable services.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading enterprise cloud transformations or DevOps programmes.
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery in fast-paced settings.
• Budget tracking and governance with tooling familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of complex cloud, infrastructure and automation programmes end-to-end.
• Governance, RAID logging, budgets, and reporting to senior stakeholders.
• Coordinate onshore/offshore teams; define roles, workflows and schedules.
• Bridge software development, IT operations, security and finance teams.
• Oversee multi-cloud strategies (AWS/Azure/Private Cloud).
• Ensure IaC and automated deployments with Terraform, Ansible, GitHub Actions, Jenkins.
• Embed DevSecOps, ITIL and compliance into delivery lifecycles.
• Monitor reliability, uptime targets and logging/monitoring systems.

What's Exciting About the Role

Verifone is offering a unique opportunity to step into a newly created role and help shape the future of our global cloud operations. As our Programme Manager, Cloud Services DevOps, you'll oversee our enterprise-wide cloud services and infrastructure transformation initiatives. You will bridge the gap between high-level business strategy, financial planning and technical execution. You will work across cross-functional engineering teams, manage delivery and governance, and optimize our continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) and cloud hosting environments (AWS/Azure).

Key Responsibilities

Programme & Delivery Management

• End-to-End Ownership: Take full accountability for the delivery of complex cloud, infrastructure, and automation programmes from inception to completion
• Governance & Reporting: Implement robust project governance, track budgets, manage RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) logs, and report progress to senior stakeholders
• Resource Allocation: Coordinate with onshore and offshore engineering teams, defining roles, workflows, and deliverables schedules
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate communication between software development, IT operations, finance, security, and external clients

Technical & DevOps Oversight

• Cloud Strategy: Oversee the management and scaling of multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Private Cloud)
• Automation & CI/CD: Ensure adherence to best practices in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and automated deployment pipelines using tools like Terraform, Ansible, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins
• Operational Security: Embed security standards (DevSecOps), compliance requirements, and ITIL frameworks into the core delivery lifecycle
• Performance Optimization: Monitor platform reliability, uptime targets (SLAs), and logging/monitoring frameworks

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven track record of managing enterprise-scale cloud transformation or DevOps programmes
• Strong background working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models within fast-paced environments
• Budget management experience and familiarity with tracking toolsets (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira, MS Project)
• Technical competencies
• 3rd party vendor collaboration
• Deep conceptual or hands-on understanding of cloud architecture (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, containerization/Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
• Awareness of infrastructure automation and configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible)

Soft Skills and Leadership

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills to articulate technical solutions to non-technical audiences
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities to guide engineering teams through operational change
