Job summary

A leading aerospace company in Hingham is seeking a Programme Manager to oversee the fulfilment of customer orders for aircraft passenger seats. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in project or programme management within a manufacturing or engineering environment and a strong understanding of quality processes. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in project or programme management within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Experience managing quality processes within an NPI environment.
  • Ideally from an Aerospace cabin/seating background.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and establish the framework for fulfilling customer orders.
  • Manage all aspects of the programmes including performance, cost, quality, and lead-time.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timelines are met efficiently.
  • Present regular updates to the executive team.

Job description

In your role as Programme Manager, you will be responsible for the coordination of all activities related to the fulfilment of assigned customer orders for our aircraft passenger seats, from when a programme is assigned until the execution of the programme and with your contributions, will help us achieve on time performance, maintain quality, cost and weight to achieve our targets. Taking ownership of the process, you will support other lines of business in ensuring completion of our programmes/products.,

  • Coordinate and establish the framework and conditions for all activities related to the fulfilment of assigned customer orders for our aircraft passenger seats
  • Manage all aspects of the programme(s), including performance, cost, quality and lead-time aspects
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timelines and activities are met efficiently
  • Present regular updates to the executive team via presentations and effective communication channels
  • Ensure the smooth execution of all programs start to finish

  • Experience of project or programme management within either a manufacturing or engineering environment (a minimum of 3 years' required)

  • A good understanding of and experience with project planning software (e.g. MS Project), Ideally from an Aerospace cabin/seating background
  • 3rd level qualification in an Engineering based subject, The ability to communicate and present effectively at all levels
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A high level of organisational and prioritisation skills
