Programme Manager - Project Falcon

Lead One of Tarmac's Most Significant Digital Transformations

Are you an experienced Programme Manager with a track record of delivering large-scale business and technology transformation?

At Tarmac, we're embarking on Project Falcon, a business-critical transformation that will redefine how we manage Order and Dispatch operations across the organisation. This is a unique opportunity to lead a complex, enterprise-wide programme that brings together business process design, ERP systems, integrations, data, testing and deployment into a single, high-impact solution.

As Programme Manager, you will take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of Falcon, ensuring strategic ambition is successfully translated into a fully integrated, tested and operational solution. Working alongside senior leaders, strategic partners and specialist delivery teams, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our business.

What You'll Be Doing

Drive End-to-End Programme Delivery

You’ll lead the successful implementation of Project Falcon from design through to deployment, ensuring every workstream remains aligned to a single integrated solution vision.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Owning the integrated programme baseline across business design, SAP ECC, Salesforce, interfaces, data, testing and deployment activities
  • Leading cross-functional teams through design, build, validation, pilot and rollout phases
  • Ensuring approved requirements are translated into high-quality, deployment-ready solutions
  • Driving alignment across customer, operations, logistics, finance and technology stakeholders
  • Resolving complex cross-workstream challenges and escalating critical decisions where required
  • Providing clear programme leadership, governance and reporting to the Programme Director and Steering Committee
Assure Quality, Readiness and Adoption

You’ll be accountable for maintaining delivery integrity throughout the programme lifecycle, ensuring every release is fully tested, integrated and ready for operational use.

You’ll:

  • Lead integrated testing across system, integration, end-to-end, regression and user acceptance testing
  • Oversee critical defect resolution across business and technology teams
  • Ensure robust traceability from requirements through to design, configuration, testing and acceptance
  • Govern deployment readiness, cutover planning and phased rollout execution
  • Protect customer service, operational continuity and business performance during implementation
Lead, Influence and Inspire

This role requires a highly credible leader capable of bringing together senior stakeholders, specialist workstream leads and strategic suppliers around a common goal.

You’ll:

  • Build and develop a high-performing programme team
  • Drive accountability, collaboration and delivery excellence across multiple functions
  • Influence executive stakeholders and communicate complex decisions with clarity
  • Represent Project Falcon with Tarmac leadership, CRH and strategic partners
  • Act as a visible champion for one of the organisation's most important transformation programmes

What We're Looking For

We're seeking an accomplished programme leader who thrives in complex environments and knows how to turn strategy into successful delivery.

  • Proven success delivering complex system implementations across design, build, integration, testing and deployment
  • Experience managing multiple business and technical workstreams, suppliers and rollout phases
  • Strong background in solution assurance, systems integration, data migration and deployment readiness
  • Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder management, governance and executive reporting
  • Experience leading systems integrators, software vendors and delivery partners to agreed outcomes and quality standards
Highly Desirable
  • ERP-enabled transformation experience
  • Enterprise integration, data conversion and testing expertise
  • Knowledge of supply chain, logistics, Order & Dispatch or operationally critical environments
  • Experience with SAP, Salesforce or large-scale enterprise platforms
Qualifications
  • Degree qualified in Business, Technology, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
  • Additional qualifications in architecture, business analysis, testing, change management or IT service management would be advantageous

What Makes You Successful

You're someone who:

  • Delivers results through complexity
  • Takes ownership and drives accountability
  • Thinks end-to-end and understands system-wide impacts
  • Challenges constructively to improve outcomes
  • Builds trust and influence at senior levels
  • Maintains focus under pressure
  • Creates clarity, alignment and momentum across large teams

This is more than a programme leadership role. It's an opportunity to shape a transformation that will fundamentally change how Tarmac operates, delivering lasting value across customers, operations and technology.
