LOCATION: Portsmouth, Chippenham, Stevenage or Newport South Wales (with some hybrid working available subject to our Hybrid Working Policy)

Space Digital - Connected Intelligence is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead the Ground Segment Programme for the next phase of the UK Military's Satellite Communications System.
Taking full accountability for this critical scope of work, you will oversee a Project Management Office (PMO) and have up to four Project Managers reporting directly to you. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will drive delivery, foster cross-functional synergies, and ensure absolute adherence to schedule, budget, and quality standards.
Lead multi-function project teams to deliver the Ground Segment Programme OQOTOC (On Quality, On Time, On Cost), building cross-functional relationships to maximise synergies.
Oversee all programme execution, implementing robust integrated planning, scope baselining, strict change control, and comprehensive reporting solutions.
Exercise full budgetary management, taking responsibility for the overall programme expenditure against the allocated budget.
Drive personnel and resource management across the programme, providing direct leadership and direction to Project Managers and the PMO.
Identify non-quality issues and root causes, driving rapid resolution and ensuring continuous improvement lessons are embedded into future processes.
Ensure the programme strictly complies with Health and Safety regulations, making the well-being of all personnel paramount.
Experience of programme management in complex defence or communications environments, with expertise in integrated planning, scope, and schedule management.
Experience of directing PMO structures, leading teams, and stakeholder management to build beneficial relationships with military or government customers.
Experience of large-scale budgetary management combined with strong financial acumen.
Commitment to ethical conduct, ensuring full compliance with Airbus Defence and Space Ethics & Compliance policies and Business Management Systems.
