Job summary

Leicester College in the CHHS Department seeks a Programme Lead to oversee level 3 part-time programmes in Health and Social Care and related fields. You will work with the Programme Area Manager to ensure high quality provision, lead course delivery, monitor student progression and attendance, and coordinate quality processes.

You will teach across provision according to your strengths and help develop students toward meaningful work or further learning.

Qualifications

• A relevant Degree or equivalent level 4/5 HNC/D qualification at minimum.
• Level 2 in Maths and English (GCSE Grade C or above or equivalent).
• Teacher qualified Level 5 or above (e.g. Diploma in Education and Training, Cert Ed, PGCE).

Responsibilities

• Teach across the provision and according to strengths.
• Oversee and coordinate high quality provision within CHHS.
• Monitor student progression and attendance, updating college systems.
• Lead course provision and coordinate quality processes with appraisal via indicators.
• Work with the Programme Area Manager to ensure quality outcomes.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Health and Social Care team as part of the Childcare and Education, Health Sciences, Health and Social Care and Sports (CHHS) Department. As part of this team, you will be responsible for our level 3 part time programmes of study. This is an opportunity to positively manage and influence our young peoples' lives, widening their choice to progress into meaningful work or further learning. As Programme Lead, you will work closely with the Programme Area Manager to ensure high quality provision for students. You will have a track record of delivering high quality teaching and learning. It is also desirable that you have some experience of leading course provision and coordinating quality processes with the ability to appraise courses using a range of quality and performance indicators. Within the role you will be responsible for ensuring students are on the right programme, monitoring their progression, monitoring attendance, and updating the college systems. A good level of planning skills and prioritising tasks is advantageous in this role. You will teach across this provision and according to your strengths, across a range of levels.

• A relevant Degree or equivalent level 4/5 HNC/D qualification as a minimum requirement.
• Level 2 in Maths and English (GCSE Grade C or above, GCSE Level 4 or above, or equivalent).
• Teacher qualified Level 5 or above e.g. Diploma in Education and Training, Cert Ed, PGCE or equivalent.
