Job description
Programme Director

VANRATH is recruiting a Programme Director to join the team on a contract basis for 6 months. The project involves managing the migration of on‑prem services to AWS cloud.

The role is hybrid working, 5 days per week. You will be reporting into an existing Head of Programme Management for outputs. This contract is initially for 6 months with a potential for further extension.

Remuneration

This role will pay £750 per day (inside IR35 via Umbrella provider).

About you
  • Holds a relevant Programme/project Management qualification
  • Hands‑on experience in managing the migration of on‑prem services to AWS cloud.
  • Experience managing AWS at a senior stakeholder level
  • Demonstrable skills leading and managing AWS and internal teams to execute migration from on‑prem to cloud.
  • Budget management of approximately £5M
What you’ll do
  • Responsible for ensuring the portfolio/programme of change meets its objectives and delivers the projected benefits
  • Owner of the overall business change being supported by the programme
  • Ensure change maintains its business focus, ensuring risks are actively managed
  • Take personal responsibility for successful delivery of the programme, being recognised as the owner throughout
  • Take decisions and be proactive in providing leadership/direction throughout the life of the programme
