Job Description

The Program Manager – Leadership and Entrepreneurship Programs will own the end-to-end management and delivery , from participant onboarding through to alumni engagement.

You will be responsible for:

  • Designing and managing a seamless learning journey across both
    programs
  • Coordinating facilitators, mentors and partners
  • Ensuring participants engage fully and meet program requirements
  • Managing live virtual sessions and learning platforms
  • Capturing and organising content (recordings, resources, data)
  • Leading post-program reviews and continuous improvement

This is a hands-on, operational and relationship-driven role for someone who loves structure, people, and impact.

Responsibilities
Program Design & Delivery
  • Lead the end-to-end program delivery of Leadership and Entrepreneurship Programs – from planning, onboarding, weekly execution, to completion and transition into alumni communities.
  • Create and maintain detailed program calendars, run sheets and checklists for each cohort.
  • Coordinate live virtual sessions (e.g. masterclasses, mentorship sessions,
    panel discussions), including:
    • Scheduling sessions and sending invites
    • Managing Zoom/Teams/other platforms
    • Moderating live sessions (intros, Q&A, polls, chat, timekeeping)
    • Troubleshooting basic tech issues during sessions
  • Ensure all learning resources (slides, templates, assignments, case studies) are organised, up-to-date and easily accessible to participants.
  • Manage the setup, moderation and storage of learning sessions and materials across platforms (LMS, Google Drive, Zoom cloud, etc.).
Participant Experience & Community Management
  • Manage the end-to-end learning experience of participants from
    onboarding to alumni stage:
    • Welcome communications, orientation sessions and FAQs
    • Clear guidance on expectations, time commitments and platforms
    • Regular check-ins and reminders to keep participants on track.
  • Track participation and compliance with learning requirements (attendance, assignments, projects), and follow up with participants where needed.
  • Build a supportive, inclusive community culture across cohorts:
    • Facilitate introductions, peer circles and group discussions
    • Encourage sharing wins, questions and resources
    • Respond to questions and elevate issues as needed.
  • Manage alumni engagement for both programs, keeping communities active and connected to PAWEN’s wider ecosystem.
Stakeholder & Facilitator Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for facilitators, mentors, guest speakers and partner organisations.
  • Coordinate session logistics (timing, briefs, tech checks, materials) and ensure facilitators are fully prepared.
  • Capture and share feedback from participants to facilitators and partners in a constructive way.
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with external stakeholders and represent PAWEN’s values in all interactions.
Content, Recording & Knowledge Management
  • Oversee the recording, editing and uploading of program sessions to platforms such as YouTube or the program’s private content library.
  • Ensure all recordings are correctly titled, tagged and stored for easy access and future use.
  • Work with the team (or vendors) to create simple edits where needed (trimming, intro/outro, basic branding).
  • Maintain a structured content repository (slides, templates, toolkits, recordings) for each program that can be reused and improved over time.
Social Media & Brand Collaboration
  • Collaborate with the social media and marketing team to:
    • Share participant stories, testimonials and key session highlights
    • Curate program-related content (quotes, clips, carousels, threads) that enhances visibility and brand positioning of SheSuite Africa and OnboardHer
    • Promote application calls, milestones, graduation events and partner announcements.
  • Provide timely input and program insights to support compelling campaigns and content.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
  • Track key program metrics (applications, enrolments, attendance, completion, satisfaction, NPS, etc.).
  • Design and run post-session and post-program surveys; gather qualitative and quantitative feedback.
  • Lead the post-program review for each cohort, documenting what worked, what didn’t and recommendations.
  • Implement iterative improvements in collaboration with PAWEN leadership (e.g. refining curriculum flow, improving communications, adjusting schedules, enhancing tech stack).
  • Prepare simple program reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Role Requirements
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field (e.g. Business, Social Sciences, Education, Communications, Project Management) – or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years’ experience in at least one of the following:
    • Program / project management (preferably in education, leadership, HR, or social enterprise spaces)
    • Learning & development / training coordination
    • Community or cohort-based program management.
  • Demonstrated experience managing virtual programs or events across multiple time zones is a strong advantage.
  • Exposure to leadership development, women’s empowerment, board governance, or talent development is highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies
  • Proven ability to build and nurture communities – comfortable engaging with mid- to senior-level professionals.
  • Strong project and time management skills; able to manage multiple cohorts and moving parts at once.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) with the ability to speak confidently during live sessions and write clear, friendly participant communication.
  • Confident using digital tools such as:
    • Zoom/Google Meet
    • Google Workspace / Office 365
    • Learning platforms, community tools (Google Classroom, WhatsApp)
    • Basic familiarity with YouTube Studio for managing content uploads.
  • Detail-oriented with a bias for structure and follow-through.
  • Data-aware: able to track and interpret basic program metrics and turn feedback into action.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, remote environment.
