Textron, Inc. in Ipswich is seeking an onsite Program Manager to lead cross-functional new product development programmes from initiation through implementation, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule and budget.

You will coordinate teams across engineering, supply chain, quality, manufacturing, marketing and customer care; use stage-gate governance; require a Bachelor's in Engineering or related field, and 2–4+ years of program management experience; PMP preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• P2-2 or more years of related experience; P3-4+ years preferred.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Experience in negotiations, communication, organization, and team building.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and MS Project; SAP knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of new product development projects to meet stakeholder objectives at an accelerated pace, including initiation, planning, execution and implementation.
• Define project scope; develop plan with budget, schedule and resources.
• Drive timely completion of project tasks across engineering, supply chain, quality, manufacturing, customer care, marketing, etc.
• Create and maintain reports to monitor and control tasks considering risk, budgets and schedule.
• Report project status to executive leadership clearly to communicate progress toward targets.
• Apply stage gate process to guide activities and milestone signoffs.
• Leverage PM best practices and continuously improve processes for better planning and visibility.

As a Program Manager based onsite at our Ipswich manufacturing facility, you will lead cross-functional new product development programmes from initiation through to implementation, ensuring projects are delivered to agreed scope, schedule and budget. You will bring together teams across the business to drive progress, manage risk and deliver against key programme objectives.,

• Lead all phases of new product development projects to meet stakeholder objectives at an accelerated pace including program initiation, planning, execution, and implementation.
• Collaboratively work to clearly define the project scope; develop the project plan to include the budget, schedule, and resource needs.
• Drive timely completion of all project team tasks to include engineering design and testing, supply chain management, quality and manufacturing, customer care, marketing, etc.
• Create and maintain reports to monitor and control all project tasks while considering risk assessments, performance to targets, budgets and program schedule.
• Report out project status to executive leadership in a clear, concise manner to communicate progress toward expected targets.
• Use defined stage gate process to guide all project activities and milestone signoffs.
• Leverage program management best practices and continuously improve processes to achieve better planning, visibility, performance, and effectiveness.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field required.
• Years of Experience: P2-2 or more years of experience in related field required/P3- 4 or more years of experience in related field required.
• Software Knowledge: Microsoft office applications, strong skills in project management software such as MS Project, SAP knowledge preferred.
• Experience in negotiations, communication, organization, and team building.
• PMP certification through Project Management Institute preferred.
