A leading international law firm is seeking a Professional Support Lawyer to support its market-leading Private Equity Real Estate (PERE) team. This is a strategic role focused on delivering high-quality legal know-how, training, and innovation across a broad range of complex, high-value real estate fund and investment structures.
You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to shape knowledge strategy, support client-facing initiatives, and maintain best-in-class precedents and resources across the team’s core areas – including fund formation, joint ventures, co‑investment arrangements, secondaries, and more.
Job Description
- Knowledge Strategy & Innovation
Assess and respond to the evolving knowledge needs of the PERE team. Monitor and analyze legal and market developments across private equity, real estate, funds, and corporate law. Collaborate with innovation teams to implement internal and client-facing tech solutions.
- Client-Facing Initiatives
Support BD efforts through targeted thought leadership, alerts, and briefing notes. Assist with pitches and client workshops, leveraging precedent-driven efficiencies.
- Thought Leadership
Draft and coordinate articles, updates, and commentary on legal and market trends. Work with internal teams to maximise current awareness and cross-practice collaboration.
- Training & Technical Expertise
Identify and deliver training needs across the team, including practice updates and know-how briefings. Support associates in accessing and applying internal and external knowledge resources.
- Precedents & Process Mapping
Develop and maintain market-leading templates, guidance notes, and process maps. Curate and manage the team’s electronic knowledge bank, ensuring accessibility and relevance.
- General Support
Participate in team meetings and collaborate with BD and other practice groups. Provide ad hoc knowledge support as required.
Successful Applicant
About You
- Qualified solicitor or barrister in England & Wales.
- Experience in private equity, real estate funds, or corporate transactions at a top-tier firm.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills across fund, JV, and transactional documentation.
- PSL experience is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication, research, and organisational skills.
- Proactive, independent, and confident engaging with senior stakeholders.
