Job description

We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing construction cost consultancy in the Central Belt of Scotland. The role is suitable for candidates with previous PQS experience, though this is not essential. Non-chartered candidates are welcome as excellent support is provided towards chartered status.

About the Role
  • Pre- and post-contract duties as a Quantity Surveyor / Cost Consultant.
  • Acting as Employer's Agent on Design and Build contracts.
  • Occasionally acting as Contract Administrator in addition to QS duties.
  • Working on projects across both the public and private sectors.
  • Supporting multiple projects independently while contributing to team delivery.
Responsibilities
  • Running projects independently with accountability for outcomes.
  • Preparing tender documents and supporting business development activities.
  • Contributing to complex project delivery as part of a team.
  • Managing and mentoring trainees to support their development.
  • Ensuring projects adhere to cost, quality, and time targets.
Skills Required
  • Experience as a Private Quantity Surveyor (preferred but not essential).
  • Chartered, working towards chartership, or keen to start APC.
  • Ability to work independently on projects.
  • Strong teamworking skills and experience supporting trainee development.
