Job summary

IDEX Consulting Ltd in London seeks an experienced Professional Liability Underwriter to manage both new and existing PI business. You will underwrite primary PI, negotiate with brokers and help grow a global book, with some travel.

Professional Liability Underwriter

£80,000 - £110,000 + bonus

A highly regarded Professional Liability underwriting team in London is looking to add an experienced Underwriter.

The team write both US and international PI business, mainly primary; including Engineers, Insurance Brokers, Lawyers, Corporate Service Providers, Loss Adjusters and Miscellaneous business.
The role will entail underwriting both new and existing business, negotiating with Brokers and helping develop business globally (which will include some travel).

With regards to experience, the key for this role is experience underwriting and leading primary Professional Indemnity business. International and/ or US business exposure is desired, however pure UK backgrounds will be considered. Strong relationship building skills with Brokers are also sought, alongside business development skills.
