Overview

Our client, a leading entity in the Defence and Security sector, is seeking a highly skilled Production Test Engineer with a focus on Live Build - Electronic/Electrical, located in Stevenage. This is a contract position aimed at enhancing their current capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical testing on live builds, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Utilise measurement and test principles using appropriate test equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve issues at electronic system and sub-system levels.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults.
• Maintain detailed documentation of test results and diagnostics processes.
• Address high voltage safety requirements and ensure all procedures are followed meticulously.
• Apply knowledge of RF and microwave technology at the system level, where applicable.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of test equipment throughout the CADMID product lifecycle.

Job Requirements

• Experience as an Electrical Tester, particularly within the Defence or Aerospace industry.
• Significant experience with measurement and test principles, and associated test equipment.
• Proficiency in electronic system and sub-system level fault finding.
• Understanding of CADMID product lifecycle for test equipment.
• Knowledge of RF and microwave technology at the system level is advantageous.
• High Voltage training and awareness.
• Familiarity with SAP systems is beneficial.
• Proficiency in MS Office for technical specification and report preparation.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
