Job summary

Baxter in Oxford seeks a Production Technician for the permanent night shift. You will support cleanroom production, ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in line with GMP, with training in first months on afternoon/evening shifts.

Core duties include labeling, equipment setup, prioritising workload, aseptic technique, inventory control, and meeting turnaround times with a focus on quality. Base salary 27k plus 5k night shift allowance, ongoing development.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths required.
• Allergen and GMP awareness is advantageous.
• Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment is desirable.

Production Technician (Night Shift)

Permanent Night Shift | Sunday 10:00pm to Friday 6:00am | 37.5 Hours per Week

Shift Pattern

Core hours: Sunday 10:00pm through to Friday 6:00am (37.5 hours per week)

Training period: During your first three months, training will take place on afternoon and evening shifts, primarily between:

• 3:00pm to 11:00pm
• 6:00pm to 2:00am

Following successful training, you will transition to the permanent night shift pattern.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Production Technician, you'll support all aspects of cleanroom production, ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Label products accurately according to approved specifications.
• Perform equipment checks and set-up activities.
• Prioritise workload to meet production schedules.
• Manufacture compounded products following approved procedures.
• Demonstrate and maintain validated aseptic technique.
• Maintain productivity and quality standards.
• Control inventory within isolators and production areas.
• Meet required turnaround times.
• Sanitise equipment and components in line with SOPs.
• Carry out routine equipment sampling, testing, and maintenance activities.
• Prepare and sanitise raw materials for production.
• Report and expedite any sanitisation deviations.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards throughout cleanroom and production areas.
• Support environmental monitoring and compliance activities.

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

• GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
• Good computer skills and confidence using digital systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
• Previous experience in a GMP, pharmaceutical, healthcare, manufacturing, or regulated environment is desirable.
