Job description
Production Technician - Mechanical, maintenance, agricultural environment

Redditch – £27,398 pa (£13.51 ph) + Overtime. Permanent, full-time, 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 06.00am starts.

About

We require a practical and physically‑capable candidate with experience using hand tools to provide basic mechanical maintenance tasks around site, for example: changing fans, fitting wheels, repairing trollies, etc. The environment is agricultural in nature and would particularly suit candidates who enjoy or are resilient to typical experiences within a farm setting or livestock management role. While this is not an “animal care” role (strictly mechanical production and project support), having high standards and good values in animal welfare would be regarded favourably. Own transport is required due to location (rural). Full training is provided at induction.

Requirements & Duties
  • Basic mechanical maintenance duties – hand tools, power tools (no welding required) – reporting to site manager and engineering manager.
  • Enjoy working as part of a team in a busy FMCG department; repairing production equipment, ensuring H&S compliance, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
  • A flexible and sociable team‑player – reliable, dependable, honest, and trustworthy – willing to contribute where needed to fulfil business aims.
  • Willingness to learn processes and procedures.
