Job summary

Baxter Compounding in Oxford is seeking Production Technicians for the TPN unit to manufacture essential life-sustaining products. The role offers full training and a stable, full-time permanent position in a grade B/C environment with occasional rotation to grade D rooms and labelling areas.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 1pm–9pm, with occasional 7am-3pm or 10am-6pm shifts. Excellent attention to detail and proactive team players will thrive in this pharmaceutical setting.

Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent, including English & Mathematics.
• Good oral/written communication.
• High attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assemble raw materials and ingredients for compounding sterile products.
• Manufacture live saving products in accordance to approved SOPs.
• Assist in the preparation of sterile products, their labelling, packaging and dispatch.
• Replenish stock and rotate stock.
• Perform visual inspection of finished products.
• Ensure high quality of service and adherence to Health and Safety requirements and company procedures.
• Perform and record cleaning for equipment and areas as defined in SOPs and GMP principles.
• Ensure adequate stocks of equipment and supplies.

Summary

Baxter Compounding in Oxford is looking for Production Technicians in our TPN department (Total Parenteral Nutrition) who are keen to join us in helping saving and sustaining the lives of our patients by manufacturing essential life supporting products. The ideal candidate will have very good attention to detail and will be keen to start a career in the pharmaceutical industry, as full training will be provided. This is a full-time, permanent position for the Baxter site in Oxford. The role will be mainly based in TPN (Total Parenteral Nutrition unit) department, where operators will be working in grade B and C environments. Occasionally, operators will be rotated to work in grade D compounding room as well as assembly and labelling areas.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday - 1pm to 9pm with occasional cover on 7am-3pm and 10am-6pm shifts required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• To assemble raw materials and ingredients for compounding sterile products
• To manufacture live saving products in accordance to approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
• To assist in the preparation of sterile products, their labelling, packaging and dispatch
• To replenish stock and rotate stock
• To perform visual inspection of finished products
• Ensure a high quality of service to the customer and adhere to Health and Safety requirements and company procedures
• To perform and record all cleaning for the equipment, areas of work and supplies as and when required as defined in the relevant SOP’s and in accordance with the principles of Good Manufacturing Practice
• Ensure adequate and appropriate stocks of equipment and supplies
