Overview

Jackson Hogg are delighted to be supporting a market leader in intelligent traffic management solutions in their search for a Production Technician to join their team based in Melsonby, North Yorkshire.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation that designs and delivers innovative systems keeping people moving safely and efficiently across the UK and Ireland. The Melsonby facility is the company's primary UK production site, where a wide range of traffic signals and intelligent transport products are assembled before being deployed nationwide.

The Role

As a Production Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of assembled products before they leave the facility. You'll be responsible for carrying out quality testing, interpreting technical documentation, and ensuring all work meets the company's exacting standards.

Responsibilities
  • Completing quality testing on all assembled products in line with company procedures
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and documents to ensure accurate assembly and testing
  • Supporting company performance standards, including on-time delivery, product quality, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement
  • Adhering to and promoting 5S principles to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment
About You

We\'re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive individual with a passion for quality and precision. You\'ll be confident working both independently and as part of a team within a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications
  • Previous hands-on experience in electromechanical product assembly or panel building
  • Experience completing quality inspections using technical drawings and SOPs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint)
  • Logical and creative problem-solving skills
  • A strong commitment to accuracy, teamwork, and continuous improvement
