A Defence and Security supplier in Bristol is seeking a Production Technician to join their team on a contract basis. The role involves assembling and testing products, diagnosing equipment malfunctions, and adhering to safety requirements. The position is fully onsite with a contract lasting until March 2026 and a competitive pay rate of £30 per hour (Umbrella).

Overview

Our client, a Defence and Security supplier is looking for a Production Technician to join them on a contract basis at their site in Bristol. Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be eligible to undergo security checks. Initial contract until 31st March 2026. Fully onsite in Bristol. £30 p/h Umbrella, inside.

Responsibilities
  • To work efficiently to ensure that parts are fitted correctly to meet the requirements and specifications of the product to meet production targets.
  • Responsible for assembling, inspecting and testing products to ensure they meet specifications and report any issues.
  • Studying and interpreting the technical documents required to complete the assembly task.
  • Assembling components and ensuring that all parts are fitted correctly.
  • Highlight and identify any issues, suggesting and, where appropriate, resolving problems to contribute to best practice and continuous improvement.
  • Reading and confirming the parts list, interpret measurements and verify specifications.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and performing repairs.
  • Performing preventive maintenance and reporting to resolve assembly line issues.
  • Keep the workspace clean to ensure a safe working environment, adhering to health and safety requirements of the company.
  • Conserving resources and supplies to facilitate minimum waste
