Join a team that has been baking fresh, quality products since 1885. From our beginnings in Scarborough, we have grown to nearly 160 shops across Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and the North East—but our commitment to great products, exceptional service and strong local communities continues to guide everything we do.

What makes a brilliant Bakery Production Team Leader?
  • Passionate about great bakery products– you take pride in helping to make quality products for our customers to enjoy.
  • A supportive team leader– you bring people together, offer encouragement and help everyone play their part.
  • Reliable and responsible– you’re ready to take ownership, keep things running smoothly and maintain high standards throughout your shift.
  • Positive and motivating– you bring a can-do attitude and encourage your team to give their best.
  • Confident making decisions– you’re comfortable solving problems, setting priorities and knowing when to ask for support.
  • Ready to learn and develop others– you’re keen to build your own skills while helping your colleagues grow in confidence.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment– you enjoy staying busy and working efficiently to help the team meet its production targets.
  • Committed to food safety– you’ll follow all hygiene, allergen and safety procedures, including our standards for nails, jewellery and piercings. It’s all part of keeping you, our customers and our products safe.
  • Happy with an active role– you’re comfortable being on your feet and carrying out practical, repetitive tasks throughout your shift.
  • Comfortable working in different temperatures– our ovens and bakery equipment mean some production areas can get hot, while our fridges and freezers mean others can be cold. You’ll be provided with the appropriate PPE to help you work safely and comfortably in each environment.
  • Comfortable handling food– you’ll work with our full range of ingredients and products, including meat and items containing allergens.
