Production Team Leader

Salary: Competitive plus shift allowance
Shift Pattern: Monday–Friday (rotating early and back shifts, seasonal rotation August–March)

Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing are delighted to be supporting Baxters Food Group in the search for a Production Team Leader to join their operations team in Fochabers.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and hands-on individual to take ownership of a busy production area, leading a team of operators in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

As a key member of the operations team, you’ll work closely with the Production Manager to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency targets are achieved whilst maintaining high quality standards.

The Opportunity
As Production Team Leader, you’ll:
  • Lead, coach and motivate a team of 30 production operatives, with 4–5 direct reports (Leading Hands).
  • Manage day-to-day operations on shift - ensuring targets for safety, quality, and performance are met.
  • Conduct daily team huddles and tiered accountability meetings to drive communication and results.
  • Support planning, resource allocation and shift handovers, identifying and resolving issues quickly.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety and GMP standards, supporting Quality and Technical teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support a positive culture across your team.
  • Actively contribute to training and developing your team, ensuring multiskilling and engagement.
About You
  • Proven experience in a Team Leader or Supervisor role within a manufacturing environment ideally but other industries are considered
  • A people-focused approach – confident leading by example and developing others.
  • Strong understanding of H&S and food safety standards (Food Safety Level 3 required).
  • Resilience, energy and drive – with a proactive “can-do” attitude.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a calm and professional manner.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and maintaining the highest standards.
